How to search the database
You can search the proverbs and quotes database in several ways. If you just search with one word (or part of a word) the script will return all proverbs and quotes that contain an exact match of that word. For example, if you search with 'count', you will also find proverbs that contain the word 'count', but also 'country' or 'counted'. Searching with 'cat' is enough to find all proverbs that contain 'cat' or 'cats', but it will also find 'caterpillars' and 'catch'.
If you search with just one word (especially if it is very short) the script may return a large number of results. To avoid this, it may be better to search with two or more word.
When searching with two or more words, you can indicate how you want to use these words in the search. There are three options: 'AND', 'OR" and 'AS A PHRASE'
Searching with 'AND'
With the 'AND' option, the script will only return proverbs and quotes that contain all the words of your search. For example, if you search for 'cat' AND 'dog', you will only find proverbs that contain both these animals (e.g. "It's not the fleas of the dog that make the cat meow.")
Searching with 'OR'
With the 'OR' option, the script will return proverbs and quotes that contain at least one of the words of your search. For example, if you search for 'cat' OR 'dog'. You will find all proverbs and contain 'cat', but also all proverbs that contain 'dog'. This can be quite a long list, especially as it also include 'catch', 'caterpillar', etc. A clever way of using the 'OR' option is for example to search 'butterfly' OR 'butterflies'.
Searching with 'AS A PHRASE'
The 'AS A PHRASE' option keeps your search words together. For example if you search for 'in the house' AS A PHRASE, you find proverbs such as "Two scorpions in a small cave are better than two sisters in the house."
